Leaving Certificate Irish for Primary Teaching

This is a one-year part-time course specifically designed for students who wish to gain entry to Teacher Training College and require a H4 (60-69%) or above in Higher Level Irish in the Leaving Certificate.

What will I receive?

You will be paired with a Cúntóir Ranga who you can message on a 1-1 basis outside of class times. Your Cúntóir ranga can support you with corrections, clarifications and support as you need it.

We are experienced in teaching mature students who may not have spoken Irish in several years. This Irish course for Primary Teaching has been designed to equip students with the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to be successful in repeating the Leaving Certificate Irish exam.

This course begins Monday the 9th of September 2024. Students are strongly encouraged to enrol at the beginning of the year. Students may enrol freely up until Christmas should there be availability.

Students may sit their Leaving Certificate in a school of their choice or opt to sit the exam in one of our partner schools. The deadline for deciding and applying is in January 2024.

Éamon Ó Corcráin is a qualified Irish teacher based in Limerick. Éamon has taught in some of Ireland's leading private tuition providers. 

Éamon's courses are popular amongst Leaving Certificate Students due to his approach of shifting the focus entirely to the exam in June and focusing on the marking scheme.
